ABOUT ME
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
I am a highly educated, multi-lingual, West Midlands based MBA professional having spent over 30 years in interpreting, translation and training in the UK. I acted as interpreter for Monsieur Laurent Bayle, President de la Philharmonie de Paris, at the annual conference of British Orchestras at the Hyatt hotel in Birmingham. I have travelled and worked in numerous locations in the world, completing a weeklong interpreting assignment involving 22 delegates from eleven countries at the Rockefeller Centre, Lake Como, Italy.
I have completed projects for the BBC (Midlands) and Thames Television (Britain's Got Talent, Midlands), Bournville College Centenary Celebrations (Son et lumière artists and lighting experts from Lyons) as well as participating in the Tracey Emin inspired exhibition "Thrift Radiates Happiness" at Birmingham Central Art Gallery. I did extensive interpreting and translation work ENGLISH / SPANISH / FRENCH for the Improving Forest Governance Programme at the University of Wolverhampton, working in and out of all three languages for delegates from Latin America and Francophone Africa. I further completed a year long contract for Elmhurst School for Dance (Birmingham Royal Ballet).

I am a fully qualified interpreter in French and Spanish and am on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters in both languages. I work regularly for West Midlands Police, Birmingham Crown and Magistrates Courts, as well as numerous private sector clients. I specialise in the automotive industry having worked for most major UK motor manufacturers. |

Following the COVID-19 crisis, more interpreting is moving on-line. My top of the range computer and bandwidth are more than adequate for any type of remote assignment anywhere in the world. I work from a well-equipped hi-tec home office with the latest model 27” iMac (3.0GH Intel Core I5 processor, 3.6GHz quad-core i3, built-in "FaceTime HD"), headphones and super-fast fibre optic broadband with 516 Mbps download speed, 258 Mbps upload speed, MHz DDR4 SDRAM). |

I am a West Midlands based sole trader, not a language agency. No part of your fee will be paid to an Agency, you will at no time deal though a third party. I will be your partner throughout, will do the work myself and you will communicate directly with me. Should you prefer to use an Agency, please ensure their interpreters are DPSI qualified and check the registration number as many agencies use unqualified interpreters not worthy of the name. |

I have enhanced disclosures, available for clients to view at any time. In 2020 I was granted renewed NPPV3 clearance for all UK police forces including the Metropolitan Police. My Home Office Counter Terrorism check has also been recently renewed. |
